Genie in the House is a British sitcom broadcast on Nickelodeon UK about a widowed father with two teenage daughters who find a dusty old golden lamp while exploring the loft of their new home. A quick rub of the lamp releases Adil, a trainee genie from Balamkadaar who has been confined to life in the lamp for 1000 years. Philip has banned any use of magic in the house, yet the girls and Adil the Genie find ways to get themselves into trouble using Adil's wish granting powers. The mother is never mentioned, except on Adil's birthday when Philip mentions being a widower. As of March 2012, Genie in the House is now airing on the Starz Kids & Family cable network.

Season 1 Episode 21: No Time Like the Future
Emma(Victoria Longey) ends up accidentally wishing for the genie Adil to send them into the future and he ends up sending them 400 years forward and their house has now become a museum and androids are touring it and Sophie(Katie Sheridan), Emma and their father have to pretend to be androids so they won't be taken to a zoo along with the other humans. Katie is then shown on the couch with her legs crossed saying that she wishes the androids would leave soon as she really needs the toilet. Finally the tour group leaves and Sophie rushes upstairs and looks around for the bathroom but only finds a closet, then another android(who was hiding in another closet downstairs) ends up discovering that Sophie and her family and are humans and chase them around the house until they finally find Adil in the attic and Emma wishes they were sent back to the past. Once they return back home their father says he has some unfinished business to take care of and Sophie remarks "So have I, I haven't been to the loo in over 400 years!" and frantically rushes upstairs to relieve herself offscreen.
