Season 2 Episode 11: The Handwriting on the Wall
While in court testifying, Mary (Marla Gibbs) asks the judge if she can go to the bathroom to which he replies, "If I can't you can't".
Season 3 Episode 1: Men's Club
Sandra (Jackee Harry) and Mary are both disguised as men in order to infiltrate a men's club. At one point, Sandra asks Mary where the ladies' room is, she replies that it's two blocks away at a gas station.
Season 4 Episode 2: Hide the Star
Mary is a holding a meeting in her house with several other women who don't want to be there, Sandra gets up and says she's "going to the powder room" but Mary won't let her go(as she's hiding something in the bathroom)and Sandra protests to which Mary remarks "You just had to have a cup of coffee didn't you?". Then one of other women votes to adjourn the meeting and Sandra seconds the motion to which Mary protests they haven't "Had the old business yet" and Sandra retorts "I've got some "old business" Mary, how about it"(referring to her need to pee) and then gets up to pee again and again Mary won't let her in and when Sandra asks why not Mary lies and says Lester is in there taking a shower and Sandra then decides to head home and use her own bathroom.
