Fran, fresh out of her job as a bridal consultant in her boyfriend’s shop, first appears on the doorstep of Broadway producer Maxwell Sheffield peddling cosmetics, and quickly stumbled upon the opportunity to become The Nanny for his three children. But soon Fran, with her offbeat nurturing and no-nonsense honesty, touches Maxwell as well as the kids.

Season 1 Episode 16: Schlepped Away
While on a road trip in a snowstorm, C.C. (Lauren Lane) is desperate to pee. Upon finally arriving at Fran's (Fran Drescher's) parents' house, she rushes off to use the bathroom, and later declares that she is "feeling all refreshed" when she returns. A boy who had been on the trip (Brighton, played by Benjamin Salisbury) says he has to go too, but Fran tells him that their second bathroom is at the luncheonette on the corner and he would have to order something before he could use it.

Season 6 Episode 2: Fran Gets Shushed
Fran and her new husband Maxwell (Charles Shaughnessy) are locked in a bathroom together at an upscale cocktail party. Maxwell has had two very large martinis and is very desperate to pee, but he cannot go in front of a woman because he is a proper English gentleman. Fran tells him, "You either let me call for help, or you learn how to tinkle in front of your wife. Those are your choices." But he makes her go outside on the window ledge while he pees, and this causes her to fall and land on the party's host, killing him.
