José (played by famed Italian actor Totò) is a thief who hides from his pursuers in a barrel at the start of the film. The barrel, labeled "Jamaican rum," is loaded onto a pirate ship. José needs to pee and tries to escape the barrel, but the pirate leader (Mario Petri) and his men walk in looking for a drink. The pirate leader taps the spigot and gets a mug full of urine, and reacts with a soured expression upon taking a sip of the beverage.
