Scenes
Miguel (Jacques Gamblin) goes on a road trip with his daughter Laura (Raphaëlle Molinier, apx. 12 years old), Sonia (Ingeborga Dapkunaite), and his mother (played by Carmen Maura). Laura asks Miguel to stop the car so that she can pee, but he gives her a can instead. She tosses the can away and finally gets him to stop the car, but doesn't really need to pee. It is just a ruse to get him away from the car so she can talk to him privately. Upon returning to the car, Miguel sees his mother squatting and pissing while talking on the phone. She is shown from the side, with the peeing audible. Miguel acts surprised, and she says, "What, you never saw your mother?" "Not in this role," he says.
