Father Maurice, a priest living in a residential college for priests in Rome, is called out one day to "exorcise" the devil from someone. The devil turns out to be in the form of a fun-loving man called Giuditta. What Father Maurice doesn't know is that this type of devil will turn his life around.

The devil-possessed man Giuditta (Roberto Benigni) is in a park at night with Fr. Maurice (Walter Matthau), and both need to pee. The priest goes behind a pee and does the deed discreetly, though we do hear it a bit. Then Giuditta pees a massive, long stream into the air, and even spins around and drenches Fr. Maurice!
