The outlaw Walter (Joe Dallesandro) is hiding in a pile of barnyard hay, and the maid Ottavia (Andréa Ferréol) doesn't know he is there. After seeing a cow peeing, she gets the urge to do the same, and squats right over his hiding spot. When she realizes that a man is hiding there and that she has peed on him, she runs out of the barn in panic. A moment later there appears to be a wet spot on the back of her skirt, as if she didn't keep it out of the way when she pulled her clothes back on in a hurry.
