This is the true story of a woman (Stephanie, played by Gina McKee) who was kidnapped, raped, and held for ransom. The kidnapper lets her use the bathroom twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. In one flashback scene she says she is "desperate," and is shown sitting on a toilet chair with a bucket underneath, but the camera cuts away before she pees.
